Just a reminder to stand in solidarity with the postal workers who are on the picket line right now. There has been a lot of disinformation about the strike, but if you find yourself frustrated with disruptions in service be sure to direct those frustrations at Canada Post and not its employees, who are merely seeking fair pay and job security.
The members of our local post office have asked us to share that “postal workers, not Canada Post will be accepting letters to Santa and we will be delivering them on time, as usual. CUPW members have always and will always do this work for free and with pleasure. [they] will be on the picket line, at the Post Office from 8-5, Monday to Friday until the work stoppage ends.” and add that no postage is necessary.
